Balmain. Rihanna. Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign. Congratulations to Rihanna. The singer recently tweeted the announcement as well as posted two pictures from campaign on her Instagram account. I love Balmain. So I’m actually excited for this campaign and I think it’s a fit between designer and muse that’s a match made in heaven.

Balmain’s Creative Director,Olivier Rousteing, “……not compromising, fresh, modern, the icon of my generation, Rihanna embodies my vision of Balmain in this new campaign. In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world.” Can’t wait to see the full campaign when it comes out.

No. I mean it when I say “No”. It’s just not okay to walk around in public with your hair in a “Doobie Wrap”  and walk out of the house or salon with it in that state. It’s just not cute. Whatever, she’s an a musician and she can do whatever she wants but now all these girls are going to go out and wear this pre-style hair out in public. It’s personal opinion but if I were a woman I wouldn’t wear it in public, it’s almost like wearing rollers to the supermarket. NO!

Doobie Wrap: The result of wrapping ones hair around ones head using circular brush, comb, or finger-comb motions. Utilized mainly by African-American or Latina women at night with a scarf to create bouncy hair in the morning.

It’s not necessarily that it’s an unfinished look that she was sporting because finger waves is a similar style in which the hair is waved along the head. It’s just to me, personally, I thought that RiRi looked unfinished. She didn’t look put together in her outfit and the hair didn’t look put together. When girls leave the salon with their “doobies”, it’s because they are going to take it out later before the night, typically they don’t jaunt around in public looking like a hoodrat.

Ursula Stephens, Rihanna’s stylist who helped to create her look during The Good Girl Gone Bad phase, also helped to create this look. I respect the creativity because Rihanna’s hair is always laid to the heavens, this just isn’t one of those times.

Here’s a few more pictures incase you were still wondering about her hair these days…..

Would you wear this style to the club? To a formal function?

It’s Beyoncè’s World And We’re Just Living In It

Who Run The World?
Who Run The World?

Despite being a buzz-track, “Bow Down” and “I Been On” has completely captured my heart. If changing her last name to Carter was Beyoncè’s way of saying I have a new sound, I think there are going to some happy fans out there. Hit-Boy and Timbaland produced the two tracks as a fusion hybrid style. Definitely flowing on the H-Town Swagger! Beyoncè is back and she’s keeping her reign as the Queen!

If the rumors are true and from what I’ve heard….I’m also excited for the possible collaboration of  Lady Gaga & Bey on the track “Ratchet”. Speculated to appear  on the track as well is Rihanna and newcomer to the scene Azealia Banks. They’re version of Ratchet is the around the way girl who owns bamboo earrings at least two pairs!

I’m glad that Queen Bey is back and she’s snatching wigs…………I’ll always be a stan for Bey………

Azealia Banks aka Yung Rapunxel

Yung Rapunxel
                                                              Yung Rapunxel

Femcee Azealia Banks known for her feuds with people such like Nicki Minaj and Jim Jones decided to give her fans a nice surprise. Two weeks early of the March 26th iTunes release, she dropped the newest single “Yung Rapunxel” off her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste due to drop this summer.

The Lil Internet produced track is really hard to describe. It’s inaudible for the most part but the futuristic beat with Banks low register rap skills is nothing short of amazing. I envision the video is going to be completely flawless since this is the lead single. Personally, I would love to see Jontè as the choreographer for the music video.

Check It Out Below:

Don’t worry, she’s still fighting with people Almost getting into a fist fight with the lead singer from Stone Roses while on tour in Australia and basically calling new Def Jam recording aritst Rita Ora “Rihanna’s Understudy”………..
