I’m gonna come back and act as if I wasn’t on a hiatus for a really long time. However, I’m pretty sure “You Can’t Do That!” in life. Right?
My friend Carolyn Paine is a comedian, dancer, choreographer, writer, singer, radio host and CAT LOVER. Oh, did I mention that she’s entering the Women in Comedy Festival? She is and I was so honored that I was asked to participate. The theme for this year is “You Can’t Do That!”
Inspired by the political climate around her, Carolyn decided to take all of her talents, along with some talented friends to create an interesting “Stand Up For Your Rights!” through comedy. Adam Sarette and Christian Daniel Kiley helped with the writing and filming of this project. It’s catchy. It’s sassy. A whole lotta of fun to help with as well.
Eli Escobar might have been the greatest DJ that I’ve discovered on SoundCloud recently. A veteran of the NYC nightlight scene, he released his début album “Up All Night” on June 2. This is one of the best albums I’ve heard in a while.
“Seein U” is such a great song to feel the vibe of summer. It gives you that feeling of remembering that special someone while taking you on a journey through New York.
For the 3rd year in a row, ALANGOO is hosting their egg decorating contest. People from all over the world are invited to give photos via Facebook or Twitter or you can directly email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. It’ll be fun. The winner receives a $50 credit to spend on ALANGOO.
I feel this really calm feeling when I go to ALANGOO.com and I think you will like the pieces. If you're looking for unique, hand-made underground designers with Persian, Middle-Eastern and Central Asian backgrounds and show that in their work, you've come to the right place.
There’s everything from throw pillows for around the house to intricately detailed scarves. There’s clothing for men(I already have my eye on a few pieces), women and children. Before, I go to anything further, I really can’t decide though:
The jewelry is handmade too!
So before you start your day, I want you to take a look at ALANGOO.com and let me know what is it you like on there. I’m definitely a fan of the gorgeous AtoOs Collect brand on there. The shawls are absolutely stunning and I checked the designer’s profile out, she’s Houston based. I have support fellow people from Houston!
Ever since I bought my Christian Louboutins studded loafers, I’ve been hooked on studs! Studded clothing is great. Studs give a little bit of edge without going overboard. However, you are entitled to go overboard and that’s ok too. Nobody’s judging!
Right now, I’m wearing studded items such as shoes. In particular sneakers, I think it’s super fun on sneakers and who doesn’t want to have a slight bit of edge in their style?!
Aside from the fact that it’s denim that’s slightly destroyed. It’s a 2 inch platform that is styling and profiling. NO, really though it’s amazing. I love the fact that I have some height but not too much. It’s a super comfortable and controlled walk except that when I wore them home, I literally fell as I walking from the train. OH DRE!
One Minor Flaw:
Since I’m used to walking in a wedge, a flat platform is a little bit more difficult to navigate but whatever. You live and let learn. Right?
The Lil Internet produced track is really hard to describe. It’s inaudible for the most part but the futuristic beat with Banks low register rap skills is nothing short of amazing. I envision the video is going to be completely flawless since this is the lead single. Personally, I would love to see Jontè as the choreographer for the music video.
Don’t worry, she’s still fighting with people Almost getting into a fist fight with the lead singer from Stone Roses while on tour in Australia and basically calling new Def Jam recording aritst Rita Ora “Rihanna’s Understudy”………..
